SUMMARY DESCRIPTION  OF  WORK

Performs technical and skilled functions. Requires daily decision making and public contact.  Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall repairs, and spot painting is preferred.  Ability to work with wide range of customers and meet deadlines is critical.  Strong communication skills are required.

Compensation range: between $18.00 and $21.46 per hour (wage is determined by total years of relevant experience)
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma
  • Four years related experience
  • Valid driver’s license/ acceptable driving record
  • Skills in ongoing facility repair tasks
  • Ability to perform lifting and other physically demanding duties as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs routine facility and maintenance related task and makes necessary repairs.
  • Identifies, prioritizes, and schedules special maintenance required to keep the buildings and grounds attractive and professional.
  • Participate in the rotation for taking on-call after hours.
  • Assists in grounds and parking lot maintenance.
  • Assists in the moving of equipment and furniture.
  • Assists in collection and storage of donations.
  • Provides on-call coverage during nights and weekends on a rotating scheduled basis.
  • Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities, including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
  • Creates, maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
