Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full-time Sous Chef to work at The Landing, located at 3500 Faulkner Drive, Lincoln, NE 68516. The Landing has 90 independent living, 34 assisted living and 14 memory support apartment homes. This person will be the "soup expert" for the team and will also cover the bistro during breaks or vacancies, so customer-facing experience is a must to succeed in this role. Schedule for this role is generally going to be 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday, but should be flexible to sometimes take off one weekday and work a weekend shift if needed. Holidays are required.
This position will pay up to $25.00/hour. Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

What You Will Do
The responsibilities of this job include all types of food preparation, including yet not limited to baking, grilling, stove-top and oven cooking; and cleaning the kitchen. Addtionally may be assigned to oversee progress of kitchen staff abilities, kitchen projects or special events, certain aspects of food preparation in the kitchen, inventory management and oversees the kitchen function when the Executive Chef is not available. Will also cover the bistro shifts at times.
Skills & Requirements
Two (2) years of cooking experience beyond the level of fast food/fast casual is required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required, or willing to obtain if hired (company will pay for training).
Minimum age of 19 years old required.
